<div class="default-style" style="font-family: -apple-system,BlinkMacSystemFont,helvetica,sans-serif;">Over the last 10 years I had the opportunity to develop - with the OODBMS Gemstone/S - lots of project solutions for our business and at least three products for our customers (in two different companies - with quite different businesses and different licenses). </div>

<div class="default-style" style="font-family: -apple-system,BlinkMacSystemFont,helvetica,sans-serif;">The development and production environment changed pretty much over these years. Only API driven, with UIs written in Sencha ExtJS (for browsers), adding RabbitMQ/Connector and PostgreSQL/Connector to the solutions. Playing around with Apache-Superset, reporting using PDF using Christian Haiders libraries.</div>
<div class="default-style" style="font-family: -apple-system,BlinkMacSystemFont,helvetica,sans-serif;"> </div>
<div class="default-style" style="font-family: -apple-system,BlinkMacSystemFont,helvetica,sans-serif;">Using a model based development approach with code generators for C#, Java, Python and Javascript (ExtJS) on the client side and for Topaz on the server side, this has become more and more complex over the years reaching the limits of a one-user-developer approach, so that I still mostly use 3.6.x versions of Gemstone/S in the products and 3.7.x mainly in projects.</div>
<div class="default-style" style="font-family: -apple-system,BlinkMacSystemFont,helvetica,sans-serif;"> </div>
<div class="default-style" style="font-family: -apple-system,BlinkMacSystemFont,helvetica,sans-serif;">So to still get an overview over this complex stuff, I sat down and started to write a documentation (in Germany - sorry, but the topic is difficult and I want to use it for my daily base). I hope to finish this documentation at the end of this year. Currently it gives only an overview how I used Gemstone/S and I assume that I use it quite differently compared to the "normal" users of Gemstone/S and it covers also general aspects for using Gemstone/S under Linux together with all these subsystems - even considering aspects of different licenses of Gemstone/S.</div>
