Hello Dale, though I do not understand all that bash stuff, to write into the sysctl.conf you should use something like: sudo /bin/su -c "echo 'kernel.shmmax=2000000000' >>/etc/sysctl.conf" Perhaps that helps Marten -- Marten Feldtmann
