Marten,

In addition to `locale`, I'd also like to see `locale -a` as well ... if 
you could add it as a comment to the issue[1] that'd be great ...

It's turning out that solving this problem is not that simple - there 
are some bugs in the printing/reading of DateAndTime printStrings and/or 
ScaledDecimal printing/readingwith relation to different locales - 
independent of tODE - I'm still untangling things here....
