[Glass] GemTalk Systems has been acquired by Emergence

To our customers and community,

As many of you recall, in 2013 Dan Ware formed GemTalk Systems LLC and acquired the GemStone product and team from VMware. After more than a decade of careful stewardship, Dan has navigated GemTalk into a strong position — and has now taken a significant next step by completing the sale of GemTalk Systems to Emergence, a private/permanent equity firm.

The new owners share our commitment to GemStone/S and to the community that has grown around it. They are actively investing in the next generation of engineers to support the existing product while building the tools that will carry GemStone forward for decades to come. For existing customers, you can expect continuity in your relationships, support, and the quality of service you've come to rely on.

If you are interested in the opportunities that come with this new chapter — whether as a user, contributor, or partner — we'd love to hear from you. We'll also have a number of people and presentations at ESUG in July (Plovdiv, Bulgaria), and look forward to sharing more about the plans in person.
